Bud Clary Auto Group is expanding our commercial service operation in Auburn and is looking for an experienced Fleet & Medium-Duty Technician to join our team.

This is not a general maintenance or accessory-install position. We are looking for a technician with hands-on experience servicing and repairing commercial vehicles, fleet accounts, work trucks, vans, and medium-duty vehicles .

Our Auburn commercial operation features a new dedicated heavy-duty shop with 14 lifts , giving our technicians the space, equipment, and capacity to handle serious commercial work efficiently.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate has previous fleet, commercial, or medium-duty experience, preferably with:

• CDJR / Ram Commercial
• Ford / Ford Pro
• Chevrolet / GM Commercial

Experience with commercial vans, work trucks, medium-duty trucks, gas and diesel powertrains, and advanced diagnostics is strongly preferred.

Manufacturer certifications are a plus, but strong real-world diagnostic and repair experience is what matters most.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair commercial, fleet, and medium-duty vehicles.
• Perform advanced mechanical and electrical diagnostics.
• Service gas and diesel-powered commercial vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair engine performance, electrical, cooling, steering, suspension, brake, driveline, HVAC, and related systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance and comprehensive vehicle inspections.
• Accurately identify needed repairs and communicate findings through the repair order process.
• Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
• Road test vehicles as needed to verify repairs.
• Maintain accurate documentation of diagnostics, repairs, and recommendations.
• Work closely with commercial service advisors and parts personnel to keep jobs moving.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow dealership, manufacturer, OSHA, EPA, and safety requirements.
• Stay current with manufacturer training, diagnostic procedures, and evolving commercial vehicle technology.

Qualifications

• Previous professional experience as a fleet, commercial, medium-duty, diesel, or heavy automotive technician .
• Commercial experience with CDJR/Ram, Chevrolet/GM, or Ford strongly preferred.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing commercial trucks and vans.
• Strong electrical and drivability diagnostic skills.
• Experience with both gas and diesel powertrains preferred.
• Ability to use factory and aftermarket diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple repair orders.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to fixing vehicles correctly.
• ASE certifications are a plus but are not required.
• Manufacturer training or certifications are highly valued.
• Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record consistent with company insurance requirements.
• CDL is a plus but is not required.
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of an automotive technician position, including lifting up to 50 pounds.

Pay

$30–$60 per hour, depending on experience, certifications, and qualifications.
