Terms of Employment: 190-day contract with salary determined by placement on the teacher salary schedule Evaluation: Job performance evaluated annually in accordance with board policy Position Type: Full-Time Qualifications Master’s degree preferred SC certified in Middle Level Math SC Certified in Elementary will be considered; must be willing to add Middle Level Math to certificate. Strong background in math curriculum At least five years of successful classroom experience in grades 3-8. Outstanding leadership and teamwork skills Expertise in the area of best practices for math Outstanding organizational and technology skills Excellent oral and written communication skills Performance Responsibilities Provides individual and small group instruction for identified students Conducts progress monitoring for students in intervention Assists with the identification process for students who need additional instruction Participates in student intervention team meetings and district level instructional meetings Confers with the principal on the needs of the math instructional program Assists in the selection of the district resources Participates in the district curriculum development process Supports teachers in the implementation of standards Assists with the development of math instructional programs Supports professional learning opportunities as directed by the principal Participates in professional learning workshops and conferences Completes reports and paperwork as required Collaborates with the specialists, lead teacher, and interventionists Performs other appropriate duties as assigned by the principal Job Requirements Citizenship, residency or work visa required #J-18808-Ljbffr Young World Physical Education
