Shifts: Weekends: Fri- 10:30am-Midnight, Sat- 8am-Midnight, Sun- 7:30am-4pm with on-call, callback, and holidays per unit needs


Seven Healthcare are seeking an experienced X-Ray Technologist for a travel assignment located in Rochester, NY. This role involves working in a high-paced environment performing x-ray procedures as prescribed by physicians. The technologist will be responsible for patient positioning, equipment handling, and ensuring diagnostic-quality images for radiologist interpretation. Familiarity with a Level 1 trauma center is desirable.

Key Responsibilities of the X-Ray Technologist

• Verify patients' identity and review physicians' orders before beginning x-ray procedures
• Operate x-ray equipment to capture radiographic images of patients' bones, tissues, and organs
• Explain x-ray procedures to patients and address any questions
• Position patients appropriately, including assisting those with limited mobility
• Handle radiologic equipment safely and minimize radiation exposure
• Monitor patient status and meet age-specific needs
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation by radiologists
• Notify management of any equipment damage or malfunctions
• Utilize electronic patient information systems and ensure accurate record-keeping

Requirements of the X-Ray Technologist

• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology and ARRT certification
• NYS license (or ability to obtain prior to start)
• 2 years of X-ray Technologist experience
• Experience in a Level 1 trauma center
• BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
• Recent OR experience
• Experience using C-arm/O-arm within the last 8 months
• Ability to move or lift patients and stand for extended periods
• Strong problem-solving, communication skills, and a compassionate disposition
