Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift ICU position at a 47-bed acute care facility in Northern New Mexico, requiring ACLS, PALS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.

Details

• 6-bed ICU within a 47-bed acute care hospital serving as a major healthcare provider for Northern New Mexico
• Serves a mixed patient population of all ages
• Patient ratio of 2:1
• Uses Medhost Clinicals EHR
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Alternating weekends required
• On-call responsibilities as needed; must be within 30 minutes of the facility when on call
• Floating to Med/Surg, ER, and other units may be required as needed
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NM RN license or compact RN license valid in New Mexico required
• Associate's degree in Nursing or higher required
• Minimum 1 year of ICU experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS — all must be AHA-certified and in hand prior to consideration
• Proficiency in ventilator management, titrating continuous medications, and managing ICU patients required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• All clinical staff in New Mexico must be fingerprinted before hire; documentation that the check is being processed must be provided prior to start

Additional Information

• Orientation is held weekly on Mondays
• Candidates must reside 60 or more miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
• Travelers may begin on a 14-day waiver while fingerprint/background check results are pending, but must be supervised during that time
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible for this position
• Candidates who are employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
• Any scrub color is acceptable; casual wear is not permitted
