Process Chemist

Process ChemistOur site in Riegelwood, NC is seeking a Process Chemist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting batch manufacturing, new product development, scale up and continual improvement. The Process Chemist participates as part of the Site Leadership Team to drive Safety, Quality and Continual Improvement. This role will support and work on the second shift with flexibility between 11 AM-9 PM.What You'll Do :Develop a strong working knowledge of processes ranging in scale from 5L to 1000 Gallons.Execute standard batch manufacturing processes.Process monitoring, troubleshooting and identification of deviations.Identify opportunities to improve process efficiency and yield.Coordinate with management team to evaluate feasibility of new projects.Write and revise SOP's.Accurate SAP order execution.Maintain accurate, detailed records.Communicate and present information in a clear, organized manner.Operate forklift, pumps, valves, and other miscellaneous equipment.Troubleshoot and perform minor routine maintenance as required.May be required to adjust schedule to cover shifts or support implementation of new processes.Demonstrated conformance to the Quality Management System.Comply with safety and environmental requirements.Work in a cross functional team to drive Safety, Quality and Continual Improvement.Exhibit the Entegris PACE values of People and teamwork, Accountability integrity and trust, Creativity and innovation, and dedication to Excellence within all aspects of their job.Other functions as requested by management.What We Seek :BS Chemistry or related field requiredExperience interpreting analytical resultsExperience with SAPKnowledge of proper safe handling/disposal of chemicals and ability to maintain a clean and safe workspaceStrong organizational skills and meticulous documentation habitsStrong written and oral communication skills with experience presenting resultsAbility to multitask and prioritizeCommitment to Safety and Continual ImprovementMust be able to wear a respiratorAbility to drive a forklift; training providedPosition will require moderate physical effort with heavy lifting (50- lbs ), walking, bending, loading items on shelves, shrink wrapping pallets, labelling drums, pails, or boxes and loading/unloading trucks with forkliftSecond shiftOutstanding Candidates Will Have :2+ years of experience in chemical manufacturing preferredExperience with scale upSAP proficiencyWhat We Offer:At Entegris, we invest in providing opportunity to our employees and promote from within.
