Chief Marketing Officer
TalentoHC
Chief Marketing Officer
Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL
Reports to CEO
Role Snapshot
Our client is a large, privately held, growth-oriented organization operating across multiple markets throughout the United States. The company delivers complex, high-value solutions through a highly operational, project-driven business model, serving sophisticated commercial and institutional clients. Its success is built on long-term relationships, technical expertise, execution, reputation, and the strength of its people.
The organization is seeking an accomplished Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to set the enterprise direction for Marketing and Communications and shape how the company presents itself to clients, employees, partners, communities, and the broader marketplace.
Reporting directly to the CEO and serving as a key member of the senior executive leadership team, the CMO will translate enterprise strategy into a clear and compelling brand and communications agenda. This executive will lead a large, multidisciplinary Marketing and Communications organization and play a critical role in strengthening market presence, reputation, culture, and connectivity across the enterprise.
The successful candidate will understand how marketing operates within a complex B2B, relationship-driven organization where reputation, expertise, people, and successful execution are central to winning and retaining business . This is not a traditional consumer marketing role. The ideal leader will bring strategic depth, strong business acumen, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to understand complex operations and translate them into compelling market narratives.
About the Opportunity
This is a highly visible leadership opportunity within a substantial organization experiencing continued growth and evolution. The company operates across multiple geographies and markets, with teams working closely with clients, partners, and communities to deliver complex engagements with significant operational and financial scope.
The CMO will inherit an established Marketing and Communications function and will be responsible for guiding the organization through its next stage of maturity. The mandate extends well beyond traditional marketing. Brand reputation, executive communications, market positioning, corporate affairs, employee communications, community engagement, and organizational storytelling are all central to the role.
The CMO will serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and executive leadership team, connecting enterprise priorities to the broader organization and ensuring employees and external stakeholders understand where the company is going, what differentiates it, and why it matters.
Equally important will be the CMO's ability to lead people. This executive will create the structure, clarity, energy, and leadership environment that enables a sizable team of marketing and communications professionals to perform at their best while continuing to develop the organization's future leaders.
Key Responsibilities
- Set the enterprise vision and strategy for Marketing and Communications in alignment with overall business and growth priorities.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and executive leadership team on brand, reputation, communications, market positioning, and stakeholder engagement.

- Elevate the organization's culture, people, expertise, and capabilities through authentic and compelling storytelling.
- Oversee corporate communications, public relations, media relations, creative services, digital marketing, web, social media, events, market intelligence, and other brand channels.
- Lead and develop a large, multidisciplinary Marketing and Communications organization.
- Evaluate and evolve organizational structure, capabilities, processes, and leadership as the company continues to grow.

Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive senior leadership experience within Marketing, Communications, Brand, Corporate Affairs, or a related discipline, including significant executive-level responsibility.
- Demonstrated success leading enterprise Marketing and Communications within a complex B2B, professional services, technical services, project-based, infrastructure-related, industrial, engineering, real estate, or similarly relationship-driven environment .
- Experience in an organization where business is won through relationships, reputation, technical capability, demonstrated expertise, and successful execution rather than primarily through consumer marketing or transactional sales.
- Experience leading and developing sizable, multidisciplinary teams through periods of significant organizational growth or transformation.
- Proven ability to serve as a trusted strategic partner to a CEO and senior executive leadership team.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to quickly understand complex operations, markets, client dynamics, and competitive environments.
