Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized, written plans of care based on physiological, psychosocial, and spiritual assessments
• Provide patient-centered care across a mixed-acuity population including post-surgical cases, diverse medical conditions, traumas, strokes, and inpatient hospice
• Utilize clinical pathways, patient education, and interactive communication to address all aspects of patient care
• Demonstrate effective communication through collegial relationships, SBAR, and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Apply strong time management skills and support team members to contribute to overall unit performance
• Maintain current BLS (AHA) certification and active Michigan RN license throughout the duration of the assignment

Required Qualifications

• Active Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license (LARA and Nursys verification required)
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Minimum 2 years of straight Medical Surgical experience (not float, SDU, or telemetry)
• Level I or Level II Trauma experience required
• Skills checklist completed within one year of application is required
• Must live more than 35 miles from the facility to be eligible at standard travel rates

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Experience in a fast-paced, high-acuity Medical Surgical environment
• Familiarity with shared governance or unit-based council participation
