QC Chemist

What You'll Be Doing

• Perform quality control testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
• Conduct routine analytical testing using GC, HPLC, pH, viscosity, specific gravity, and other laboratory methods.
• Evaluate analytical results and ensure products meet established quality specifications.
• Prepare samples, standards, reagents, and laboratory solutions.
• Perform instrument calibrations, verification checks, and routine maintenance activities.
• Document laboratory results within SAP and other quality systems.
• Support investigations, process improvements, and quality initiatives.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Technical teams to ensure product quality and consistency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
• Hands-on experience with GC and/or HPLC instrumentation.
• Knowledge of analytical chemistry and wet chemistry techniques.
• Strong laboratory documentation and data management skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in a manufacturing, chemical, pharmaceutical, food, or industrial laboratory.
• Familiarity with GMP, ISO, or other regulated environments.
• Experience using SAP or other laboratory information systems.
• Experience supporting quality control operations within a production facility.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Martinsburg, WV.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $26.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
