About the Opportunity

This role requires a dynamic individual to interact with customers, offering expert advice on product choices tailored to their unique needs. Whether in our award-winning showroom or at the customers' home, our goal is to simplify the buying decision and provide unparalleled design and flooring expertise. The ideal candidate must be willing to balance time between the showroom floor and customer visits, while also undergoing comprehensive product and sales training to become a certified flooring and design consultant.

To succeed, the individual must be personable, well-organized, and adept at creating new business while delivering outstanding customer service and follow-up to existing customers.

What You'll Do

Key responsibilities for this role include:

• Sell flooring and floor care products to meet customer needs and exceed sales targets.
• Effectively engage with customers on the sales floor, determine their wants and needs, and provide personalized recommendations.
• Stay up-to-date on our extensive flooring selection, including benefits and warranties from each manufacturer.
• Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution of customer concerns.
• Process sales orders, handle customer payments, and maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with colleagues to achieve sales goals and drive business growth.
• Provide expert advice on flooring choices, explaining features and benefits to customers.
• Conduct in-home consultations to provide product and design advice, expanding our customer base.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing showroom, ensuring a positive customer experience.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, driving revenue growth and expanding our customer base.

Requirements

Qualifications

The skills and abilities we seek include:

 

• Must have access to reliable transportation in order to get to work.
• Must be willing and able to attend some training.
• Education: Some college preferred, but not required.
• Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and be willing to learn our software operating system.
• Must have open and flexible work availability to include Saturday.
• Retail sales experience is a plus, but not required. We can teach the right candidate.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Time management skills for juggling multiple deadlines.
• Must have professionalism, to include dependability, accountability, and punctuality.
