Clinical Supervisor (BCBA)

Salary Range: $75,000 - $115,000 Location: 39510 Paseo Padre Pky. Suite 190 Fremont, California 94538 Position Overview The Clinical Supervisor will be responsible for all clinical aspects of treatment for the patients they oversee. This includes assessment, treatment planning, oversight of implementation, caregiver training, and ongoing coaching of behavioral technicians. The role includes work in multiple settings including the CARD center, patient’s home, school, community, or via telehealth. Clinical Supervisors report to the Group Clinical Manager. This is a salaried, exempt, full‑time position. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Use clinical judgment to promote optimal outcomes for each patient. Develop and maintain treatment plans. Ensure all supervision hours are at 100% treatment adherence each month. Evaluate patients to identify skill deficits and strengths. Analyze challenging behaviors to identify the function of the behavior. Develop functionally relevant treatment plans to reduce challenging behaviors. Observe treatment implementation for potential program revisions. Monitor treatment integrity to ensure satisfactory implementation of treatment protocols. Direct behavior technicians in the implementation of new or revised treatment protocols. Provide ongoing coaching and training to behavioral technicians. Primarily work physically within the center to support technicians and follow best practices of direct observation. Summarize and analyze data to evaluate patient progress toward treatment goals and adjust treatment protocols based upon data. Update treatment plans at least once per month, based on patient response to treatment. Fulfill a minimum of 120 payor/client authorized billable hours per month, inclusive of supervisory hours and therapy hours. Accurately communicate treatment response to treatment stakeholders (caregivers, payers). Coordinate care with other professionals. Administer, complete, and score standardized assessments. Incorporate caregiver as part of the treatment team via consistent collaboration meetings. Interact with payers collaboratively, professionally, thorough, and informatively. Engage with payers as needed for funding meetings (IEP, peer reviews). Stay up to date on best practices for ABA treatment to ensure clinical excellence. Maintain appropriate documentation in Skills and the patient’s medical record. Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients, families, and colleagues. Provide a safe and supportive environment for patients, families, and colleagues. Maintain compliance with HIPAA requirements at all times. Partner consistently and effectively with other center leadership (Operations Manager, Clinical Supervisors, Administrative Coordinator, Technician, Behavior Technician Leads). Other duties as assigned. Requirements Master’s degree in Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis, or related field (required). Certification as a behavior analyst from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (required). Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) (required). Willingness to work with a variety of patients. Reliable transportation with proof of auto insurance. Must pass a tuberculosis test. Proficiency in English, both written and verbal. Physical Requirements Work with patients seated on the floor, in small chairs, or other home, school, community, and clinic environments. Move frequently to gather materials and respond to patient movements across diverse settings. Constantly position oneself to participate and respond to movements and behaviors, including bending, kneeling, crouching, hurrying, or reaching. Continuously track patient movement visually and environmental circumstances. Occasionally evade aggressive behaviors or physically block attempts to aggress toward others. Be able to bear weight of a patient leaning or pushing during behavior responses. Teach patients to use vocal speech, articulate sounds clearly, and model speaking. Model gross motor skills such as climbing or jumping, and fine motor skills like clapping or opening a container. Work in indoor and outdoor settings, including varied weather conditions.
