Description:

Specialty: Cardiovascular OR Technician/Surgical Technician. Start date is in July for the designated shift. Locals will not be accepted; candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility. First-time travelers are welcome to apply. Expect to be on call for one shift per week and one full weekend per month. The unit comprises 23 operating rooms and one procedure room. The role includes elective and emergency surgeries for adults and pediatric patients, covering various specialties. Required skills include proficiency in abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, angioplasty/stenting, and various cardiac procedures. Experience with aseptic technique, instrument processing, and sterilization/disinfection is necessary. Candidates should be familiar with advanced surgical technologies such as the Da Vinci Xi Surgical System. Knowledge of universal protocol, specimen handling/labeling, and fire safety is essential. Candidates must demonstrate experience with trauma, preferably at a Trauma Level I or II facility. The role demands collaboration with interdisciplinary support and effective patient care.
