Technical Services Manager Play an integral role in advancing technical excellence and operational performance across complex projects and programs. As Technical Services Manager, you will bridge strategic business objectives with practical execution, ensuring technical teams, systems, and processes consistently deliver value for customers and support successful project outcomes. Purpose of the role The Technical Services Manager is responsible for leading technical service functions, teams, and initiatives that support the successful delivery of projects and business operations. The role combines technical leadership, operational management, and strategic execution to ensure technical resources, systems, processes, and capabilities align with organizational priorities and customer requirements. Working across functions and disciplines, you will guide the implementation of business objectives, develop practical solutions to complex challenges, and foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement. Your leadership will help ensure technical excellence while driving operational efficiency and long-term business success. You will be responsible for Leading technical services teams and managing day-to-day operations to support project and business objectives. Translating business strategy and organizational priorities into tactical plans, implementation activities, and measurable outcomes. Providing technical leadership and guidance to multidisciplinary teams across engineering, operations, project delivery, and support functions. Managing project-related processes, policies, and procedures to ensure alignment with company standards and customer expectations. Supporting the planning, execution, and successful delivery of projects while balancing safety, quality, schedule, cost, and performance objectives. Driving operational excellence initiatives focused on productivity, efficiency, standardization, and continuous improvement. Evaluating complex technical and operational issues, performing detailed analysis, and implementing practical, sustainable solutions. Leading and developing supervisors, technical professionals, and project teams to maximize engagement, capability, and performance. Building strong relationships with customers, project stakeholders, and business leaders to support collaborative project execution. Preparing and presenting proposals, business cases, reports, technical recommendations, and performance updates to leadership and customers. Monitoring key performance indicators and identifying opportunities to improve technical delivery and business outcomes. Supporting resource planning, workforce development, succession planning, and talent management initiatives. Facilitating effective communication, resolving conflicts, and influencing decisions across diverse stakeholder groups. Championing safety, quality, compliance, and sustainability while maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction and operational performance. Contributing to the development and enhancement of systems, processes, tools, and best practices that strengthen organizational capability. What you'll bring to the role You are a collaborative and results-oriented leader with a strong technical foundation and a proven ability to drive operational success in complex project environments. You combine sound business judgment with advanced problem-solving capabilities and the ability to build trust and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Key qualifications include: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business, Construction Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience. Typically 10+ years of relevant experience, including leadership, project management, technical, operational, or supervisory responsibilities. Demonstrated success leading teams and managing technical or operational functions within EPC, energy, chemicals, resources, industrial, infrastructure, or related environments. Strong understanding of project delivery, operational management, technical governance, and business processes. Proven ability to make independent decisions and manage priorities within complex and dynamic environments. Experience managing projects or significant portions of large projects while delivering against performance expectations. Advanced knowledge of systems, tools, processes, and technologies relevant to technical services and project execution. Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate data, develop conclusions, and implement effective business solutions. Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills. Demonstrated leadership capability with experience developing people, coaching teams, and driving accountability. Strong conflict resolution, change management, and influencing skills.
