About the Position

Job Opportunity – Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) RN – New York

Start Date: October 13, 2026

Location: Rochester, New York

Schedule: 4x12 Night Shift, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, every other weekend required

Highlights:

• 16-bed Medical Intensive Care Unit with complex, high-acuity patient population including sepsis, ARDS, multi-organ failure, cardiac arrest with targeted temperature management, and respiratory failure
• Advanced critical care equipment experience required: CRRT, IABP, Impella, and ECMO
• EPIC charting system utilized throughout facility
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2, with occasional 1:1 assignments based on acuity
• 24-hour orientation provided with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• 13-week assignment with one pre-approved time off period available

Requirements:

• Active New York RN license required in hand prior to submission
• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical Intensive Care Unit experience
• Experience with 1:2 patient ratios in critical care settings
• EPIC charting system experience is mandatory
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility
• Proficiency in arterial line management, central line care, continuous IV sedation, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, ventilator management, and interpretation of ABGs
• Experience with BiPAP/CPAP, isolation precautions, pulmonary artery line monitoring, blood product administration, and procedural sedation
