\n \nEccezion is the largest CPA firm in McHenry County with over 60 team members across our McHenry and Barrington offices, as well as remote employees. We provide a wide variety of accounting and tax services including tax preparation, audits, reviews, compilations, bookkeeping, payroll, and consulting services for individuals, businesses, nonprofits, municipalities, school districts, employee benefit plans, and more.
\n \nWe are currently seeking a full-time Tax Accountant with public accounting experience to join our growing team.
\n \nResponsibilities
\n- \n
- Perform monthly and quarterly accounting services \n
- Prepare individual, partnership, and corporate income tax returns \n
- Communicate with clients and assist with tax-related questions \n
- Become familiar with firm policies, procedures, and software systems \n
- Maintain compliance with deadlines and time budgets \n
- Stay current with accounting standards, tax regulations, and AICPA/Illinois CPA Society ethics requirements \n
Qualifications
\n- \n
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required \n
- 3–5 years of experience preferred \n
- Previous public accounting and tax experience strongly preferred \n
- Experience with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office preferred \n
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial procedures \n
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills \n
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities during busy season \n
