Position/Specialty: Mohs Surgery RN Shift: 4x10s, 7:00a–5:30p Weekend Req (Y/N): No Is on-call REQ (Y/N)?: No Will this traveler need to float within scope to meet facility needs/float between like units (Y/N)?: No, Mohs Surgery only Required/Preferred Years of experience REQ: 2+ years First time travelers accepted (Y/N): Yes License REQ: SC license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start Certifications REQ: BLS Education Preferred: Bachelor of Nursing or higher degree preferred, ADN accepted. Skills/Experience Required: Provides professional nursing care to assigned MOHS surgery patients. Records patient histories, performs various diagnostic tests, administers medications, and develops MOHS surgery patient care plans in conjunction with other medical professionals. Assists physicians during examinations and procedures, operating and monitoring medical equipment as necessary. Observes patients' progress and records observations in patient medical records. Promotes patients' independence by teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills. Skills/Experience Preferred: First Assist, Circulator, Suture, Suture removal, Cautery, Laser Safety, Smoke Evacuation, Dermatology, Mohs Surgery, ENT, Ambulatory Procedures, Head and Neck Surgery, Skin Grafts, and administration of local anesthesia via injection Miscellaneous Local Radius: 60-mile radius rule Locals Accepted: Yes, on a case-by-case basis at 10% less the posted bill rate RTO Restrictions: All RTO must be included at time of submission. Approval will be based on facility's needs. If this is a problem, please ensure travelers do not confirm a NEW or EXT assignment during the season. Hurricane season runs from June through November each year. The peak months for hurricane activity are August and September.
