Maintenance Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of various mechanical and electrical systems within our manufacturing plant, focusing on high-pressure compressed air distribution, hydraulic systems, and electrical control systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot high-pressure compressed air distribution systems and hydraulic systems including cylinders and pumps.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance on electrical control systems such as Siemens Simatic, Allen Bradley 5000, Allen Bradley 500, Beckhoff controls, and network communication systems like Profibus and Profinet.
• Configure and maintain inverters, VFDs, servos, encoders, and motors.
• Use diagnostic tools such as multimeters, insulation testers, and clamp on amp meters for troubleshooting.
• Adhere to OSHA safety requirements, including LOTO, Arc Flash, and PPE standards.
• Work on mechanical systems using appropriate tools and PPE, including packaging conveyor systems, chain drives, gearboxes, and valves.
• Operate scissor lifts, forklifts, and boom lifts, and work at heights regularly.
• Assess equipment failures, determine root causes, and perform effective repairs efficiently.
• Prioritize tasks and make critical decisions to minimize downtime and improve equipment efficiency.
• Read European electrical schematics and order necessary components.

Essential Skills

• Minimum 5 years' experience in maintenance mechanic roles within a manufacturing plant.
• Proficiency in hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Experience in repairing W&H Tuber and Bottomer machines is preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend European electrical schematics.
• Electrician certification is preferred.
• High School Diploma is required; a Bachelor of Science degree or mechanical certifications are preferred.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Flexographic printing presses and high-speed packaging line experience is a plus.
• Ability to lift 41 - 70 pounds.
• Capability to walk or stand for at least 5 hours.
• Interest in learning new equipment and being a self-starter.

Work Environment

Work hours may vary based on company and customer needs. Enjoy a shift premium for hours worked on the 2nd shift (3:00pm-11:00pm) and 3rd shift (11:00pm-7:00am).

Job Type & Location: This is a Permanent position based out of Eastman, GA.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $58240.00/yr. Benefits: Health benefits, Parking, Referral program.
