Position Overview As a Police Officer with the Fairfield Police Department, you will perform a wide variety of law enforcement duties including patrol, crime prevention, investigation, traffic enforcement, and community policing. Residency Requirement Officers must reside within 30 minutes of Fairfield. This policy offers flexibility while ensuring timely response capability. Minimum Qualifications ILEA Certified High school diploma or GED equivalent Valid driver’s license Must be 18 years of age or older Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to pass background check, physical fitness test, and psychological evaluation The Fairfield Police Department is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
