Discovery Point Hamilton Mill is seeking a caring, energetic, and dependable GA Pre-K Assistant Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood education, enjoys working with preschool-aged children, and is committed to creating a positive, engaging learning environment.

Position Responsibilities:

• Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing the Georgia Pre-K curriculum.
• Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and nurturing classroom environment.
• Supervise children during classroom activities, playground time, meals, and transitions.
• Assist with classroom management and positive behavior guidance.
• Help prepare and organize learning materials and classroom activities.
• Maintain accurate attendance and classroom records as required.
• Communicate professionally with families and staff members.
• Follow all Bright from the Start (DECAL) licensing regulations and center policies.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• CDA, TCC, Associate Degree, Paraprofessional certificate or Bachelor Degree is required.
• Experience working with preschool-aged children preferred.
• Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check.
• CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality required.
