Respiratory Therapist Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of NICU experience required License: Ohio Respiratory Therapy License Certifications: NRP Certification, CRT or RRT Credential Must-Have: High School and College diplomas/transcripts required Must have license in hand Description: Requirements include an Ohio Respiratory Therapy License. NRP Certification is required. Candidates must possess either CRT or RRT Credential. A minimum of 2 years of experience is required. Experience in the NICU is mandatory. High School and College diplomas/transcripts are required to be submitted. Candidates must have their license in hand prior to starting. Preferred experience includes: Nitric Oxide (iNO) experience. Experience with Oscillator Ventilation. Knowledge of NAVA. Familiarity with Bubble CPAP. Experience with High-Flow Nasal Cannula. Proficiency in Neonatal Ventilator Management. Experience with High-Risk Deliveries is preferred. Additional skills include: Ability to assist in high-risk delivery. Experience with Bubble CPAP, CPAP, and BIPAP. Familiarity with High-frequency oscillators. Ability to assist in intubation. Experience with neonatal transports, both inter-departmental and ambulance transport. Knowledge of patient transport procedures. Experience with pressure/volume ventilators is beneficial. Daily census information indicates a level 3 NICU environment. The patient age group primarily includes neonates. The unit may have approximately 40 patients and 50 beds. Candidates should be prepared to float as necessary. Complying with credentialing requirements is essential. References: Two professional references are required. At least one reference must be from someone in a formal leadership capacity.
