As the Aesthetician, you own the skincare side of the practice: facials, peels, dermaplaning, microneedling, lasers, and medical-grade skincare routines. You'll work from protocols set with the owner, Sarah Mardigian, recommend products based on what you see in the room, and handle patient follow-up and check-ins. Weeks also include producing the practice's social content and content for your personal brand.

This is a part-time(full-time is possible if desired), on-site role in Lansing, Michigan, for a Michigan-licensed Aesthetician, with hours built around patient demand, on a tight-knit team of nurse practitioners and physician assistants.

What the Work Looks Like
A shift moves between the treatment room and the desk. Busy blocks mean back-to-back treatments with the room reset between each one; slower stretches mean charting, follow-up texts, and restocking. Some days include a CE course; others call for a reel, or a couple of Instagram stories shot between patients. The schedule shifts with patient demand. The standard for room cleanliness and documentation does not.

• Recommends the treatment or product that helps the patient reach the desired outcome.

• Notices the follow-up call that hasn't happened yet or the supply order that's about to run out, and handles it without waiting to be asked.

• Keeps the same calm pace in the treatment room whether the schedule is half full or completely packed.

• Treats one CE course or certification a quarter as part of the job, brings back something the rest of the team can use, and shares it on social media.

• Cultivates kindness, respectfulness, and safety for patients and coworkers.

• Hard-working, accountable, and takes pride in their work.

Compensation:

$50,000 - $80,000 yearly

Responsibilities:

• Deliver booked skincare treatments, including facials, peels, dermaplaning, and other advanced services, that meet the practice's medical, safety, and hospitality standards.

• Respond to patient messages and complete follow-ups with each appointment, keeping charts current and compliant.

• Recommend products and treatments based on what each patient's skin actually needs, tracking sales activity and staying current on product knowledge.

• Consistently market yourself with use of social media that reflects the practice's brand and shows real treatments and results.

• Keep the treatment room clean, organized, and stocked, and flag inventory before it runs low.

• Complete one continuing education activity per quarter and share the takeaway with the team.

• Monitoring clients for skin reactions or complications and promptly escalate concerns according to clinical protocols.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Active Michigan esthetics license (state-issued, in good standing) at the time of hire, or license-eligible with an exam date scheduled before the start date.

• Comfortable performing facials, peels, dermaplaning, and other advanced skin treatments independently.

• Prior esthetician experience is preferred.
