Welder 2nd shift

Responsibilities Adjust welder settings based on metallurgical properties of metal used in blueprint to ensure quality welds. Work from blueprints, set up and weld parts using appropriate fixtures. Operate hand grinders as needed. Visually inspect work and fixturing on an on-going basis to check quality standards and the appearance of the product. Conduct 1-year experience MIG Welding in Production setting (one year of experience). Read and follow welding symbols on blueprints. Communicate effectively and work in a cooperative manner to support a team environment. Stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 70 lbs. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma, GED, or demonstrated ability to read, write, and perform mathematical calculations at a high school level. 1-year experience MIG Welding in Production setting. Knowledge of metallurgical properties or related coursework. 3-5 years experience MIG Welding in Production setting (preferred). Working Conditions Typical shop floor with possible exposure to dirt, dust, fumes, heat, cold, noise, vibration, oil and water.
