Remote Data Annotator for AI Systems

Produce high-quality annotations of audio and video to help train and evaluate next-generation AI systems. This role focuses on precise labeling, validation, and documentation to ensure datasets are accurate and auditable. No prior AI experience is required; domain knowledge and careful attention to detail are the primary assets.

• Annotate and label audio and video content according to detailed, project-specific guidelines.
• Review and validate existing annotations to ensure consistency and quality across datasets.
• Identify, flag, and correct ambiguities or errors in data samples.
• Document annotation decisions and maintain clear records for auditability and project transparency.
• Collaborate with project leads and peers through written and verbal communication to resolve questions and align on best practices.
• Meet defined deliverables and deadlines while maintaining high annotation accuracy.
• Provide insights and feedback on annotation processes to support ongoing workflow improvements.

• Required skills: data annotation and strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency in written and verbal English.
• No prior AI experience required; relevant domain knowledge is valued.
• Experience annotating audio and video media is preferred.
• Ability to work with diverse data types and adapt to evolving annotation guidelines.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to document and articulate annotation rationales.
• Familiarity with data labeling tools or platforms is advantageous.
• Experience offering constructive feedback to improve annotation workflows is a plus.

• Engagement type: Contractor.
• Location: Remote.
• Work centers on audio and video annotation and related validation and documentation tasks.

Pay rate: $6 - $8 per hour.

• Must be proficient in written and spoken English to communicate and document annotation decisions.
