About the Position

Job Title: RRT Pediatrics Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT Pediatrics Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RRT SC license must be in hand at time of start Certifications: RRT certification, BLS, PALS, NRP Must-Have: NICU Level IV experience preferred, but will consider Peds ICU experience Description: Position/Specialty: RRT / Pediatrics The position requires working three 12-hour days with holiday rotation and every other weekend. On-call is not required. The clinician will float within their scope based on experience. First-timers are accepted. Epic experience is preferred. The facility is a teaching hospital with a total of 865 staffed beds. All RTO (Request Time Off) must be included at the time of submission. Approval will be based on unit needs. The facility may allow to call off one shift per two weeks. Candidates should be aware that during hurricane season, they may be assigned to emergency response teams. The season runs from June through November each year, with peak months in August and September. All candidates must complete compliance requirements in a timely manner. RTO guidelines dictate that any time off planned must be completed prior to submission. It is important for the candidate to be aware of the local rule which prioritizes non-local candidates. Candidates with pending licenses must provide proof of application or confirm the ability to complete the necessary processes before starting. Travelers should be mindful that previous staff must be separated from the system for one year before returning as travelers.
