Job Description Job Description: Are you a Structural Fitter looking for your next opportunity? Look no further. Atwork Personnel is currently seeking skilled and detail-oriented Structural Fitters to join our client' s team in the Birmingham area. This role involves the assembly and installation of structural components for various fabricated products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fitting or welding with the ability to interpret blueprints and work with precision to ensure structural integrity and safety. Join the team as a Fitter and contribute your skills to exciting projects while growing your career! Job Type: Full-time Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour (DOE) Shift: M-F 8-hour shift Day shift. Health, and Dental with BCBS and the insurance provider. Additional benefits include retirement, profit sharing program, and uniforms after 60 days no charge.
Required Abilities:
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
• Structural fitting and/or flux-core welding experience
• Ability to use measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and levels.
• Skilled in the use of hand and power tools for metal fabrication.
• Experience with plasma tables, brake press, and CNC is a plus.
• Good physical condition with the ability to lift materials and work in various positions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities/Duties
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Measure, cut, align, and fit structural steel components using hand and power tools.
• Assemble and secure parts using.
• Inspect and verify dimensions and alignment of parts using measuring tools.
• Operate cranes, hoists, and other lifting equipment to position heavy components.
