Role Description: The Housekeeping Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at The Time New York. This role oversees daily housekeeping operations, including room and public area cleanliness, laundry services, and adherence to brand standards. The Housekeeping Manager schedules and supervises housekeeping staff, conducts inspections, coordinates inventory and ordering of supplies, and ensures compliance with safety and hygiene protocols. The role also collaborates closely with Front Office and Engineering teams to address guest requests, room readiness, and maintenance issues, while supporting training, performance feedback, and team development. A key focus is maintaining an efficient, guest-centered operation that upholds the hotel’s standards and delivers consistently high levels of service. Qualifications Demonstrated supervisory skills, including team leadership, scheduling, and performance oversight. Experience managing housekeeping operations, with hands-on knowledge of room cleaning procedures and laundry processes. Strong customer service and communication skills for interacting with guests and coordinating with internal departments. Experience in hiring, onboarding, and training housekeeping team members. Previous management or supervisory experience in a hotel or luxury hospitality environment. Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and health regulations relevant to housekeeping and laundry operations. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work in a fast-paced setting with high attention to detail. Basic computer literacy for using property management systems and housekeeping scheduling tools. Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays, as required by hotel operations.
