We are looking for an experienced Tool & Die Repair Technician for an automotive stamping facility in Detroit.
Responsibilities:
- Repair and maintain stamping dies
- Perform in-press die repairs and adjustments
- Troubleshoot die and tooling issues
- Perform preventive maintenance on dies
- Grind, weld, fit, and repair tooling
- Assist with die tryouts and production issues
- Read blueprints and use precision measuring tools
- Work with production and tool room teams to keep presses running
Requirements:
- Previous tool and die repair experience
- Automotive stamping experience preferred
- Experience working with large stamping dies
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
- Welding and grinding experience
- Experience performing in-press repairs
- Class A die experience is a plus
- Must be comfortable working in a production stamping environment
Pay: $40/hour
