Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Tool & Die Repair Technician for an automotive stamping facility in Detroit.

Responsibilities:

Repair and maintain stamping dies
Perform in-press die repairs and adjustments
Troubleshoot die and tooling issues
Perform preventive maintenance on dies
Grind, weld, fit, and repair tooling
Assist with die tryouts and production issues
Read blueprints and use precision measuring tools
Work with production and tool room teams to keep presses running

Requirements:

Previous tool and die repair experience
Automotive stamping experience preferred
Experience working with large stamping dies
Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
Welding and grinding experience
Experience performing in-press repairs
Class A die experience is a plus
Must be comfortable working in a production stamping environment

Pay: $40/hour
