What You'll Do
Responsible for the financial planning and analysis of restaurant sales, food costs, general & administrative expenses (G&A), capital expenditures and real estate for CBOCS and effectively communicate the results with appropriate personnel. Also serve as a financial resource for various departments (i.e. purchasing, operations) in order to achieve company initiatives.
- Responsible for understanding and analyzing financial/business performance and influencing business partners on the correct course of action. Also responsible for planning and projecting financial results to allow for strong organizational decision making.
- Must have a strong understanding of finance and accounting principles coupled with strong excel skills and a knack in interpersonal relationship building.
- Development skills: Provide functional leadership, demonstrate business acumen, and development of relationships across the org. Serve as additional resource for all areas of the department; complete ad hoc analyses and reports as requested; provide financial/operational support as requested by management.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business or Finance and/or relevant years of experience to the job level.
- Excellent oral, written, presentation and time-management skills.
- Proficient computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (with strong emphasis on Excel and database skills).
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Solid mathematical skills and very logical approach to problem solving required.
- Knowledge of financial analyses, budgeting/planning and forecasting concepts and processes.
- Knowledge of restaurant and/or retail industry, operations and trends.
- Project management skills and/or cross-departmental teamwork experience.
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
