Regional Sales Manager – Capital Equipment Colorado / Mountain West | Field-Based A growing industrial equipment manufacturer is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to develop and grow its Mountain West territory. This is a field-focused opportunity for a proven capital equipment salesperson who enjoys building new business, developing manufacturing relationships, and selling technical solutions based on productivity and ROI. The ideal candidate will be based in the Colorado and have experience selling CNC machinery, machine tools, fabrication equipment, automation, cutting systems, or related manufacturing technology. The broader territory includes Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, and Alaska. What You’ll Do Develop new business throughout an established Mountain West territory Prospect and conduct regular in-person visits with manufacturing customers Grow existing accounts through equipment replacement, expansion, upgrades, and additional solutions Sell technical capital equipment using productivity, labor savings, throughput, quality, and ROI Coordinate equipment demonstrations, sample testing, applications reviews, and technical resources Manage opportunities from initial prospecting through proposal, negotiation, and close Maintain an accurate pipeline, forecast, and customer activity within Salesforce Develop a structured travel and account strategy across Colorado and the broader territory What We’re Looking For 3+ years of successful field sales, business development, or territory management experience Background selling capital equipment, CNC machinery, machine tools, fabrication equipment, industrial automation, or manufacturing technology Proven ability to generate new opportunities rather than relying solely on inbound leads Experience managing longer-cycle, consultative equipment salesAbility to communicate technical solutions and build an ROI-based business case Comfortable working with manufacturing, engineering, operations, and executive-level customers Strong CRM, pipeline management, and forecasting discipline Ability to travel frequently throughout the assigned territory Experience with CNC routers, cutting systems, woodworking machinery, metal fabrication, plastics, composites, aerospace, sign/graphics, or related production equipment is especially attractive.
