Facility & Environmental Supervisor

Position Summary

We are seeking a Facility & Environmental Supervisor to manage day-to-day facility operations and environmental compliance for a client’s Ohio site. This role will oversee building maintenance, utilities, and environmental programs, while helping ensure a safe, efficient, and compliant work environment.

The right candidate will have experience in a manufacturing or distribution setting and be comfortable balancing hands-on facility oversight with environmental responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily facility operations, including maintenance, repairs, and vendor coordination
• Ensure buildings, equipment, and grounds are well maintained and operating efficiently
• Manage environmental programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
• Monitor and maintain compliance with EPA and other regulatory standards
• Coordinate waste management, recycling, and sustainability initiatives
• Support safety initiatives related to facility operations and environmental risk
• Track and maintain documentation for inspections, permits, and reporting requirements
• Work closely with operations and leadership to resolve facility-related issues and improve performance
• Manage contractors and service providers, ensuring work is completed safely and on schedule
• Assist with capital projects, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, facilities management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 3–5+ years of experience in facility operations and/or environmental compliance in a manufacturing or distribution environment
• Working knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance requirements
• Experience managing vendors and contractors
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects at once
• Solid communication skills and ability to work across teams

Preferred

• Experience with environmental reporting and permitting
• Familiarity with ISO 14001 or similar standards
• Background in maintenance systems or CMMS tools
• Experience supporting capital or facility improvement projects
