Acute Care PCT - Day/Night Shifts

Skills and proficiency in oral and written grammar, communication, and basic mathematics as acquired through official completion of high school or its equivalent. Ability to perform support activities in patient care as acquired through completion of an approved Vo-Tech program and certified as a Nurse Aide through the Office of Long Term Care or after completion of a minimum of one semester of an RN/LPN program with a nursing skills checklist completed by their nursing instructor. Candidates must be currently enrolled in an approved program to utilize the RN/LPN Nursing Student Skills Checklist. A year of PCT experience within the acute care setting will be considered in lieu of formal training. Experience Knowledge of patient care technician practices and related patient care activities and hospital policies and procedures as acquired through on-the-job training. Knowledge of basic non-technical skills as acquired through on-the-job training. Physical This is a safety sensitive position. Close eye work. Hearing within normal and soft tones. Distinguish smells. Distinguish temperatures by touch and proximity. Lifting up to 100 lbs. Carrying up to 40 lbs. Pushing/pulling up to 350 lbs. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping and reaching. JOB SUMMARY For the 2 North, 2 Main, 3 North, and 3 East areas - Day or Night shifts available. Responsible for performing assigned patient care activities and assisting licensed nursing personnel. Under the direct supervision of the Patient Care Manager or designee, responsible for assigned areas on 1 shift.
