The Marketing and Community Relations Specialist will play a key role in executing marketing strategies as outlined by the Marketing Director and Senior Leadership teams. This position is responsible for assisting in the development and execution of marketing campaigns and fostering a positive community presence. The Marketing and Community Relations Specialist will manage day-to-day marketing activities, including content creation, social media management, market research, campaign tracking, and coordinating with various teams to ensure successful brand promotion and lead generations across different marketing channels. The position will work to build and maintain positive relationships both internally and externally while planning and executing outreach programs, managing communication channels, and collaborating with local stakeholders to address community needs and concerns, promoting a positive image of the organization in the community. This position will service our hospital and recovery center operations which are located in Oneida TN.

Duties:

• Collaborate to create and coordinate social media content
• Assist in managing social media account – monitor and respond to messages and comments
• Develop and implement outreach to targeted individuals, community partners, and the general community within the service area to enhance awareness of our health facility services.
• Represent the healthcare facility by attending community events, health fairs, job fairs and organizing outreach programs to interact with the community
• Respond to questions, comments, and concerns from community members
• Collect feedback from community members and gather data on community needs to inform program development and improvements.
• Works closely with the Marketing Manager to prepare marketing materials (brochures, programs, flyers, newsletters) for distribution.
• Work with HR and Facility Administrative teams to assist in designing, planning, and executing employee engagement programs, activities, and events to boost morale and enhance employee well-being.
• Assist HR in leading recognition programs to celebrate employee milestones, achievements, and anniversaries.
• Monitor employee feedback through surveys, focus groups, and suggestion programs to measure engagement levels and recommend improvement strategies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills

• Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite
• Proficiency in using graphics design software such as Canva, Photoshop or Illustrator
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to speak face-to-face with community members
• Ability to multitask and organize in growing and ever-changing environment
• Excellent people skills and the ability to collaborate with a team
• Be an initiative-taker and able to work independently

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field, such as communications, public relations, or marketing preferred

Experience

• At least two years of work in public relations or marketing related position desired
• Experience in the community in which you work

Travel:

• Travel required to facilities in Oneida, TN 3 days per week.
• Additional days per week may be required during special events.
• Some weekend work may be required to attend seasonal community events.
