Staff AccountantNesnah Ventures, LLC is hiring a Staff Accountant to support the day-to-day financial operations of our diverse business portfolio. We are intentional about growth, for our people and our companies, and we value professionalism, respect, and follow-through.The Role - What A Day In The Life Looks Like:You'll be responsible for core accounting functions across multiple entities. Your ability to work systematically and with attention to detail will be essential to success in this role.Daily/Weekly Accounting Tasks:Perform daily and weekly accounting functions for multiple portfolio businessesComplete customer invoicing and accounts receivable (AR) reportingManage customer collections and maintain accurate AR recordsPost daily banking transactions, including EFT drafts and bank uploadsHandle daily accounts payable (AP) duties and credit card postingsReconciliation and Record Maintenance:Analyze and reconcile daily and monthly account activityPerform vendor, supplier, and carrier account reconciliationsPrepare adjustment entries and reconcile general ledger accounts monthlySet up and maintain vendor and customer accountsMaintain fixed asset and depreciation schedulesMonth-End and Year-End Closings:Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processesRecord recurring and one-time month-end journal entriesComplete bank reconciliations and post inventory adjustmentsReview and prepare 1099 tax documentsEnsure timely and accurate reporting of financial statementsCompliance and Reporting:Prepare government reports, including DOT registrations and renewalsMaintain knowledge of sales and use tax reporting requirementsPrepare and review tax returns and reconcile tax-related accountsQualifications - What You Bring To The Table:Associate's degree in accounting or related field and a minimum of 2+ years of related work experienceA detail-oriented and proactive professional with a strong background in accountingStrong analytical skills with the ability to reconcile accounts and maintain accurate recordsA team player with excellent communication skills who thrives in a collaborative environmentExperience with month-end and year-end closing processesKnowledge of sales and use tax reporting, excise taxes, and general compliance is preferredWhat We Offer:Health, Dental, Life, Vision, and Disability InsurancePaid Time OffHoliday Pay401(k) w/ matchProfit Sharing Incentive BonusPaid Training/Educational AssistanceTHE PEOPLE!Why Nesnah Ventures:We take pride in running solid businesses with strong processes, and we know that starts with solid people.
