Description

The Surgery Scheduler is responsible for organizing and maintaining the Operating Room scheduling systems.


As a representative of this facility, all comments, attitudes, actions, and behaviors have a direct effect on the center's image and perceptions of quality service. Interaction with patients, physicians, referral sources, guest, visitors, volunteer workers, co-workers, supervisors, vendors, etc. must be in a manner that is friendly, supportive, courteous, respectful, cooperative and professional. Requirements

Education

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Certifications/Licensure

• N/A

Experience

• A minimum of two (2) years experience clerical medical office.
• Ambulatory surgery center experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of operating room processes and/or experience working in an operating room in some capacity.

Technical Skills

• Experience with surgery scheduling software preferred.
• Experience with Google Suite and Microsoft Office preferred.
• Must be adept at using various applications including database, spreadsheet, project management, graphics, word processing, communication by e-mail and use of specialty software.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

Physical Requirements

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee may occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Base salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills and relevant experience.
