Receptionist Part-Time

Receptionist - Part-Time Kern River Transitional Care Pay Range: $18.50-$19.00+ per hour, based on experience Be the Welcoming Face of Kern River Transitional Care! Kern River Transitional Care is seeking a friendly, dependable, and professional Part-Time Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for residents, families, visitors, employees, and community partners, you will play an important role in creating a warm and positive experience for everyone who enters our facility. The ideal candidate has excellent customer-service skills, a professional demeanor, and the ability to remain organized in a busy healthcare environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Greet residents, families, visitors, vendors, and employees warmly and professionally. Answer, screen, and direct incoming telephone calls. Monitor the reception area and assist visitors with check-in procedures. Provide general facility information and direct questions to the appropriate department. Maintain visitor logs and follow facility safety and security procedures. Receive, sort, and distribute mail, packages, deliveries, and correspondence. Assist with filing, copying, scanning, faxing, data entry, and other clerical duties. Schedule appointments and assist with maintaining calendars as assigned. Communicate resident and family requests to appropriate staff members. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area. Protect residents' privacy and maintain the confidentiality of all health information. Follow facility policies, infection-prevention practices, and emergency procedures. Provide administrative support to facility leadership and department managers as needed. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous receptionist, administrative, customer-service, or healthcare experience preferred. Skilled nursing or long-term-care experience is a plus. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general office equipment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organization, attention to detail, and time-management skills. Friendly, patient, and professional approach when assisting residents and families. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and interruptions in a busy environment.
