Java Developer (Platform Modernization)

Salary: $100,000 - 140,000 per year Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience.
• Hands-on experience developing with Java 11+ and J2EE, including Spring, Spring Boot, and Hibernate/JPA.
• Strong object-oriented analysis and design (OOAD) skills and practical experience applying design patterns.
• SQL experience with relational databases such as MySQL or MariaDB.
• UNIX/Linux development experience and automation using Shell or Perl scripting.
• Experience building and supporting REST APIs and microservice architectures.
• Experience deploying and supporting JBoss EAP 7.x or later.
• Familiarity with Git or SVN workflows, including branching, merging, and releases, as well as Maven, Jenkins, and CI/CD.
• Experience with unit and integration testing.
• Ability to debug, troubleshoot, and tune performance in complex distributed systems.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate with business and technical colleagues.
• Strong organization and prioritization skills across multiple deliverables, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Bachelors degree or higher.
• Preferred: Docker and containerized deployments, Kubernetes or cloud-native development, and Agile/Scrum or DevOps exposure.

• Develop, test, and document user-requested fixes and features, partnering with users during user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Evaluate incoming user requests for feasibility, effort, and compatibility with existing systems.
• Guide changes through the change-control process, from coding and testing through QA approval and production release.
• Participate in requirements-gathering and design sessions.
• Turn specifications and problem statements into high-level and detailed designs.
• Design and deliver solutions that satisfy business requirements.
• Support the applications our team develops in production.
