Certified Medical Assistant Position at North Central Regional Jail, Greenwood, West Virginia. Schedule: day, evening, night shifts available. Position Summary As a Certified Medical Assistant at our facility, you’ll provide direct support to physicians, nurses, and mid‑level providers while ensuring patients receive safe, accurate, and timely care. Your responsibilities will include: Obtaining and monitoring patient vital signs Transcribing and implementing physician orders within scope of practice Assisting with examinations and minor procedures Preparing treatment rooms and maintaining clean, stocked equipment and supplies Gathering and documenting patient data accurately Providing basic first aid and CPR when required Collecting subjective and objective information for nurse or provider review Assisting with medication and treatment interventions under provider direction Maintaining inventory, checking expiration dates, and restocking supply areas and first aid kits Sterilizing instruments and ensuring proper record‑keeping of medical equipment and supplies Supporting patient education as instructed Performing clerical duties including answering phones, filing, and chart documentation You’ll do more than support the medical team.
