Job Responsibilities Performs surgical asepsis including scrubbing, gowning, gloving, and monitoring aseptic technique. Performs preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care. First assists cardiothoracic surgeon in the operating room. Performs endoscopic saphenous vein and radial artery harvesting. Removes chest tubes, drains, pacemaker wires, and assesses and treats incision sites. Performs and participates in daily rounds. Hospital and surgical call responsibilities. Clinic responsibilities.
