Communications Associate (New York)

OverviewJob PurposeThe role requires a proactive individual able to support the needs of a variety of business areas at the NYSE, including executive communications and corporate storytelling. The ability to work effectively in a high-paced, collaborative organization is essential. ResponsibilitiesBecome a key member of the NYSE’s communications team with a focus on proactive media relations and content development.Contribute to campaigns and initiatives that support and enhance the NYSE’s reputation and brand.Participate actively in telling the story of the NYSE as well as its key businesses, which include listings, capital markets and transactions as well as helping to promote the companies listed at the NYSE.Enhance the visibility of NYSE’s senior executives, including message development, media outreach and speaking opportunities.Work in collaboration with the NYSE marketing, social media and events teams.Support events held at the NYSE including IPOs, client events and visits from prominent individuals.Develop materials including briefing books, messaging, pitches, press releases and media lists.Monitor for and track media coverage.Assist with conference and event planning and logistics.Knowledge And ExperienceBachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, marketing, or a related field is preferred.2+ years of public relations or communications experience, either agency or corporate.Ability to collaborate effectively with team members.Solid background in media relations with existing relationships, proven ability to generate results.Exceptional writing skills including message development, bylines, blogs, social posts, video and podcast scripts, press releases, media statements and internal communications.Keen interest in content-driven storytelling.Highly organized and professional demeanor.Confidence and presence to work with senior executives.Ability to work effectively under pressure.Agency experience or work at a publicly listed company is preferred.New York Base Salary RangeThe expected base salary for this role, if located in New York, is between $87,6000 – $118,500 USD. The base salary range does not include Intercontinental Exchange’s incentive compensation.  While we provide this range as general guidance, at ICE we compensate employees based on the skillset and experience of the individual. Regular full-time ICE employees are eligible for a suite of competitive employee benefits, including healthcare coverage (medical, dental and vision), a 401(k) plan, life insurance, time off, and paid leave for qualifying circumstances.
