Requirements Robert Wood Johnson- Community Medical Center needs a Laborist for On-going coverage. Must have active NJ license or IMLC. Please list any anticipated procedures/surgeries the provider will be required to perform and anticipated volumes. Vaginal DeliveriesC-Section deliveriesInductionsEmergent OB Procedures Description of Work Assignment Contractor physicians will provide in-house OB/GYN Laborist services from 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM seven (7) days per week, 365 days per year. One physician will be present on site providing restricted call coverage for 24 hours 7am to 7am. Improve response times for Obstetric & Gynecologic emergencies affecting patients admitted by OB/GYN physicians by being immediately available to manage the patient until such time that the patient’s OB/GYN physician is ready to take back the care of the patient. Take over management of obstetrical patients at the request of the patient’s OB/GYN physician who is unable to be present in Labor & Delivery. Provide initial evaluations of Obstetrical patients in Labor & Delivery at the request of the patient’s OB/GYN physician. Provide Emergency Department and in-house specialty consultation upon request. Function to increase patient safety and provide “Best Practice Strategies” through the development and implementation of protocols for patient management. Protocols will be implemented after being approved by the Department of OB/GYN. Assist in any emergency situation in the case of any OB/GYN patient regardless of the patient’s location in the Hospital.
