Facilities Maintenance Technician

Facilities Maintenance Technician 1st Shift (7:30am-4pm) opportunity to support facility appearance, cleanliness, and equipment upkeep in a high-volume manufacturing environment, with a focus on electrical, utilities, and HVAC systems. This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, well-painted, and well-organized facility, keeping heaters, chillers, and utility systems running reliably, and filling in on production or in the paint room as needed. The ideal candidate is hands-on, physically capable, and comfortable with a flexible schedule based on equipment availability.


Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 5-10 years of facilities maintenance experience with strong electrical, utilities, and HVAC skills; heater and chiller experience a must
• Physically capable of accessing equipment in tight or elevated locations
• Basic computer skills; ability to convert between US and metric measurements
• Flexible schedule to accommodate equipment availability
• Ability to work in an industrial environment using proper PPE (work gloves, safety glasses, throwaway suit as needed)

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair heaters, chillers, and other HVAC and utility equipment, including in hard-to-access locations
• Maintain overall facility appearance, including removing cobwebs and dust
• Clean and paint guard rails, handrails, process pipes (per color codes), and process equipment
• Clean ventilation ducts and support housekeeping/5S activities, including Boiler Room and Mezzanine areas
• Manage inventory and storage of paint and painting equipment
• Perform tank maintenance as needed
• Fill in for Production or in the Paint Room on the Powder Coat machine as needed to meet customer demand
• Safely operate man lifts and fork trucks
• Follow safety procedures for confined space entry, chemical handling, lockout/tagout, and fall protection
