Early Access: Your benefits start after just 30 days of employment As a key representative of Airgas, the delivery driver contributes to the safe and efficient delivery of compressed gas cylinders to Airgas Branchs and Plants using a company provided Tractor Trailer . This position involves loading, unloading, and returning compressed gas cylinders. Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Load and unload the truck daily with gas cylinders & supplies Nurture courteous & professional relationships with customers Support deliveries in a timely manner Safely secure and unsecure cylinders Complete deliveries on customer property sites using a hand cart; we emphasize the physically active and hands-on nature of this position. Drivers will frequently move in and out of their vehicle A day in the life of Airgas driver Are you a MATCH? Required Qualifications Valid Class A with HAZMAT (or able to obtain within 60 days from hire date) & Airbrake endorsements No Automatic Restriction on CDL. Must be able and willing to drive a manual Transmission. Maintain appropriate driver’s license, medical card & endorsements No more than two (2) traffic convictions: OR two (2) at-fault accident in the last 3 years; or no more than a combination of one (1) traffic conviction and one (1) at-fault accident in the last 3 years No driving while under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance within the last seven (7) years Must be able to work in a drug-free environment Be able to regularly lift 75lbs and move more than 125lbs with the aid of material handling equipment Must have 1 year of CDL driving experience in the last 5 years or be able able to provide proof of a certificate of completion from trucking school completed in the last 12 months.
