Job Title

Travel RN – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Days, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM | Rotating Weekends | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit, making independent nursing decisions within the full scope of practice
• Perform and assist with procedures including IV initiation, NG tube placement, Foley catheterization, dressing changes, and ADL support
• Promote a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and care team members, adhering to facility policies, procedures, and standards
• Demonstrate competency in patient experience standards including AIDET, bedside reporting, hourly rounding, and service recovery
• Supervise other staff as designated within the department and validate ongoing clinical competence
• Document patient care accurately using the facility's electronic documentation system

Required Qualifications

• Active Texas RN License — temporary licenses are not accepted; a Compact RN License (active) is also acceptable
• BLS Certification Required
• ACLS Certification Required
• Minimum 2+ years of Medical Surgical/Telemetry specialty experience
• Minimum 2+ years of hospital experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Meditech electronic documentation system
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and interpretation in a med/surg setting
