Ice Technician

Middletown Sports Complex is looking to add an Ice Technician. We're looking for a reliable and motivated Part-Time Ice Technician to help maintain excellent ice conditions and support daily arena operations. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hockey, takes pride in their work, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Zamboni to resurface ice before, during, and after hockey games and public skating sessions.
• Maintain clean, safe, and high-quality ice conditions.
• Perform basic daily inspections and routine maintenance on the Zamboni and ice equipment.
• Set up and break down for games, practices, tournaments, and special events.
• Clean locker rooms, benches, penalty boxes, and surrounding rink areas.
• Assist with general facility maintenance and report any safety concerns.
• Follow all arena safety procedures and operational guidelines.
• Coordinate with NAHL/NA3 coaches on ice time.

Qualifications

• Previous Zamboni experience is preferred but not requiredtraining can be provided.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a cold environment.
• Basic mechanical skills are a plus.
• Valid driver's license
