Primary Responsibilities: As an ATS Substitute Teacher, you are responsible for: Creating a respectful and positive tone to create a happy, engaging atmosphere for your students. Maintaining a clean and safe classroom environment to ensure that your students are prepared to learn. Continuing student learning despite teacher absences and vacancies by executing detailed lesson plans that engage students and provide quality instruction. Using a multitude of instructional strategies that are academically rigorous and highly engaging. Working collaboratively with the principal and other teachers. Qualifications At least a Bachelor’s Degree. Prior teaching or youth volunteer experience (optional but preferred). State teaching certification is preferred; substitute teacher certification is required if no credential. Experience with classroom management techniques or willingness to learn these skills. Strong commitment to reporting to assignments on time. Additional Information We work with schools in the Camden, New Jersey area.
