Senior Database Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement core database engine features
Build and maintain distributed consensus protocols
Collaborate with product team on feature development
Mentor junior engineers and conduct code reviews
Contribute to open-source database projects
Requirements

5+ years of experience in database systems or distributed systems
Strong proficiency in C++, Rust, or Go
Deep understanding of database internals (storage engines, query optimization)
Experience with distributed systems and consensus algorithms
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with multi-model databases
Contributions to open-source database projects
Knowledge of vector databases and embeddings
Experience with Kubernetes and cloud platforms
