Job Opportunity – Float Pool RN (Med-Surg/Telemetry/PCU) – Georgia

Start Date: September 28, 2026

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 36 or 48 hour guarantee per week; every other weekend (average 6 weekends per 13-week contract); floating required to all Med-Surg, Med-Surg/Telemetry, and Progressive Care units; no call required; holiday coverage as assigned based on contract period

Highlights:

• Float Pool position with exposure to Med-Surg, Med-Surg/Telemetry, and Progressive Care Unit settings across multiple departments
• Patient population includes adults to geriatrics with diverse diagnoses
• Ratios: 1:4-5 on PCU; 1:5-6 on Med-Surg and Med-Surg/Telemetry units
• Epic EMR experience required; facility also uses Pyxis and SBAR communication tools
• 13-week contract with up to 7 days of pre-approved time off
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, lift teams, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and more

Requirements:

• Active Georgia or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience; first-time travelers accepted
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Epic charting system experience required
• Experience with patient ratios of 1:5-6 (Med-Surg/Tele) and 1:4-5 (PCU) preferred
• Skills in telemetry monitoring, cardiac drip management, ventilated patient care, blood product administration, wound care, and care of stroke/neuro patients
• Flexibility to float across multiple units and adapt to various patient care environments
• Community hospital experience preferred; previous charge experience a plus
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required
• Full compliance required by start date; all core items and labs must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
