Amazon CloudFront’s Engineering team is looking for an experienced Systems Development Engineer to build and develop new hardware and provisioning platforms, and build automation and tooling of critical service reliability and efficient functions that are secure, massively scale, are fault-tolerant, and global. We enjoy the prototyping and tinkering stages, as well as the rigor of making solutions production-ready - Is fast-growing, agile and collaborative.Key job responsibilitiesThe System Development Engineer will design, build, secure, implement, code, automate, deploy, and root-cause complex system issues accross many different types of Linux bare metal servers. You will own the availability, security, and performance of everything Operating system downwards, including the hardware, firmware, and components. You will automate and scale our the hardware lifecycle process to be efficient, durable, and fault tolerant. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
