Maintenance Manager – Food ManufacturingBlackRock Resources is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager for a growing food manufacturing operation in the Auburn, Alabama area.This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on maintenance leader who knows how to build strong teams, improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and partner with Operations to keep a fast-paced production environment running at its best.What You'll Be DoingLead the day-to-day activities of the plant maintenance teamDrive preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability and uptimePrioritize breakdowns, work orders, planned maintenance, and equipment repairsLead equipment rebuilds, installations, maintenance projects, and continuous improvement initiativesPartner closely with Operations to improve productivity, reliability, and overall plant performanceSupport Operator Driven Reliability (ODR) and Autonomous Maintenance (AM) initiativesProvide technical leadership for electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, refrigeration, boiler, PLC, and controls-related issuesManage maintenance parts, critical spares, and inventoryCoach, train, develop, and evaluate maintenance team membersIdentify recurring equipment issues and implement long-term corrective actionsEnsure maintenance work is completed safely and in accordance with company policies, GMPs, and food manufacturing standardsRead and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, blueprints, and technical documentationWhat We're Looking For7–10+ years of progressive maintenance experience in a manufacturing environmentPrevious Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Supervisor, or similar leadership experienceFood or beverage manufacturing experience strongly preferredStrong hands-on knowledge of industrial electrical and mechanical systemsExperience with PLCs and automated production equipmentWorking knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, refrigeration, boilers, and plant utilitiesStrong preventive and predictive maintenance backgroundExperience improving equipment reliability and reducing unplanned downtimeKnowledge of GMPs and food manufacturing practicesStrong leadership, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skillsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field preferredCompensation$120,000–$130,000 annuallyReady for Your Next Move?If you're a maintenance leader who enjoys being close to the operation, developing your team, and making a measurable impact on plant performance, I'd like to hear from you.For immediate consideration, email your updated resume to View email address on click.appcast.io and include the best time to reach you.
