Job Details Location: UCHealth UCHlth Memorial Hospital Central, Colorado Springs, Colorado. Department: Psych ED. Schedule: Full Time, 72 hours per pay period (two weeks). Shift: Nights. Pay: $35.29 – $54.71 per hour. This position is onsite only and does not offer a hybrid or remote option. Night shift nurses receive a $1,600 quarterly Night Shift Incentive Program bonus (total $6,400 per year). Responsibilities Provide direct patient care to a broad range of populations in a fast‑paced emergency department environment. Prioritize care, deliver high‑quality, safe patient care while maintaining department throughput and efficiency. Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans based on assessment to optimize outcomes and resources. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to a multidisciplinary care team. Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual or psychosocial support. Evaluate learning needs of patients and families, and provide education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. Delegate patient care to ancillary personnel and precept student nurses or new hires as needed. Use critical thinking, decisive judgment, and work independently in a fast‑paced environment. Requirements Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado. Minimum 6 months of RN experience; 1+ year recent psychiatric RN experience strongly preferred. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification. BLS or CPR certification valid through at least 60 days of hire. Graduate of an accredited nursing program if less than 3 years of experience.
