The facility is a Level 3 trauma center with strong departmental support, providing an excellent environment for locum physicians to make a meaningful impact.

Opportunity:
Physician – Surgery – General

Job Details:

• Coverage period begins at 7am CST on 10/9 and ends at 7am on 10/11
• No clinic coverage required; responsibilities include inpatient consults and emergency room coverage
• Rounding on any inpatient consults
• 20 patient encounters per shift
• Board certification required; minimum board certification eligible
• Active Alabama license or IMLC required
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Credentialing timeframe approximately 30 days
• Level 3 trauma center
• General surgery required, including adult and trauma cases
• Laparoscopic surgery required, including appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernioplasty, and Nissen fundoplication
• Chest wall and pleural procedures required
• Chest tube insertion required
• Central line insertion required
• Vascular access devices required

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
